Melissa’s Alice Bag handbag pattern was inspired by her Riley Blake designs fabric collections, Wonderland and Wonderland 2. They featured rabbits and designs inspired by Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. This round bag comes in three sizes, and has an embroidery template for the White Rabbit’s face. These bags can be as whimsical or seriously stylish as you wish. It all depends on what you decide to make you bag out of.
Melissa walks you through creating the bag including lining, installing a zipper, adding piping and simple embroidery instruction. She discusses different kinds of interfacing and stabilizers that help the bag keep it’s perfectly round shape.
The kit available through Missouri Star Quilt Co. is from Melissa’s Safari Party collection, and is pictured in the image for the tutorial.
